For my advice on this subject i need two separate categories.
Those in the Squad that are NOT the sniper.
When the Sniper is relaying information, try not to interrupt him or continue to talk. If your all talking at the same time, by the time he manages to relay the information, the information may become inaccurate.
Squad Leaders keep tabs on your sniper at all times and if you see an enemy sniper or someone approaching your snipers position, let him know so he can either move or counter.
Do not do anything to draw attention to your Sniper, they have a hard enough time as it is.
Do not complain when a Sniper "Steals your KILL" if your lucky enough to have a sniper talented enough to shoot an enemy your firing at chances are you don't want to berate them for doing their job. Chances are they've also saved your kitten more than few times.
Do not try to defend Snipers physically. They don't need somebody around them drawing attention unless your there to drop off ammo and then leave.
Those who are Sniping while in a squad.
Try to relay information quickly and accurately in a calm and clear manner.
avoid using simple directions in relation to your squad such as 'To your left, or to your right." chances are even if your trying to guess which direction your squad is facing it's just going to cause confusion. Instead, relay your information in relation to the map, such as "Enemy HAV to the North East" and if you can use Objectives as land markers such as "3 Enemies incoming at Bravo".
Try to avoid using names of your squadmates when relaying info unless you are 100% sure that your relaying info to the correct individual. Calling out "HEY WATCH OUT BEHIND YOU" when your squad is scattered is going to make every person in your squad stop what they're doing and turn around. This simple mistake can be avoided by again using Objectives as land markers. "Whoever is at Charlie, you have an enemy closing in on your position." as an example.
If there is another sniper in your squad, you have two options:
-Either coordinate your equipment with each other and stay in proximity.
or
-Stay at opposite ends of the map and try to see as much as you can as a collective.
If you have a nanohive you can ask your other sniper to bring either Drop Uplinks (to respawn on that high hill in the even you are shot) or a Nanite injector (same reason as the last only without the spawn part.) in addition to your own Nanohives. There is no point in having two snipers at the same spot otherwise.
If you locate an enemy sniper on the field, inform your team about where he is and, if you can, a route they can travel to avoid his line of sight. If you can tell where a sniper is you can avoid them.
Well that's all i have for now. If i think up anything later i'll come back and make some additions.
Keep the faith. |
